Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hoard iOS application and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Jack Hurley ("Hoard", "we", "us", or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hoard (or the minimum age required in your country). If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. How Hoard works

Hoard lets you save links to publicly available social media content (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter, and other supported platforms). Hoard retrieves publicly available metadata and content from those links and uses AI to produce summaries, insights, and actionable outputs such as recipes, workouts, or itineraries.

Hoard's AI features produce summaries, insights, and suggestions. These are informational only and may contain errors.

7. Third-party services

Hoard relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, Anthropic, OpenAI, Apify, RevenueCat, Sentry, PostHog, and Apple) to deliver the Service. Those providers have their own terms and privacy practices, described in our Privacy Policy.

The Hoard name, logo, UI, code, and all related materials are owned by Jack Hurley. Your content remains yours.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hoard will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Hoard's total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law or other non-excludable consumer protection laws.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
